hello!
i am in HK and seeking some advice!
i want to change my hair colour and am wondering if i can do it myself with a loreal or wella type box colour.
my last colour was done at mina dev wil - they did a good job but for this one might need better quality products....?????
the last colour was a light reddish colour. my natural colour is light brown, um, mousey. yep. mousey.
the red has largely faded and now just a brassy light brown.
i want to get rid of the red tones and have a frosty kind of light ash brown - with a couple of odd silver white blocks - have had those done b4 and got really good colour. these will need to be done professionally for sure. but the rest? any advice much appreciated :)

Hi catdog1
Go to one of the drug stores and buy the light ash brown colour product. if as you mention that the remaining red has pretty much faded out, the ash content in the colour should do the trick. If after you still feel there is too much red left, then reapply it a second time, though this might cause the colour to go darker, sometimes its best to choose a level of colour slightly lighter than you want to allow for this.
The block highlights should definitely be left to a professional, as this would require bleaching the sections first.
Good luck
PHILIP GEORGE
