Fix white walls from black scratches

I hope to find a easy way to fix my white walls which have black scratches from my chairs... I know that the paint on the wall is cheap, but I am only a tenant in the apartment so don't want to put too much money into painting it.

Can anyone help me with this?

As far as I know painting is in fact the easiest way. Those scratches are an indication of just how crappy the wall paint tends to be in HK rentals. The scratches can't really be erased. They can only be painted over.


You could try painting just over the scratches and see if it looks ok.


Also, many landlords see such scratches as normal wear and tear and won't give you a hard time about it.

have you tried dabbing cif - usually it does the trick.


if not - painting is the only way to go.

recommend using a foam roller to avoid brush strokes (if you care about that...I think most landlords wouldn't notice either way)
