I have done this route a number of times when going to Pandan Island (which is a resort island off Mindoro - the island San Jose is on). To my knowledge there are no direct flights to San Jose - I have always had to take the last flight from HK, then transfer to the domestic terminal and fly to San Jose at around 5-6am. I think we usually fly Asia Spirit from Manila to San Jose - usually the flight is very early in the morning from Manila which is why she should take the last flight from HK. You could also see if Cebu Pacific or Phils. Airlines flies to San Jose - if so, she maybe wouldn't have to go to the domestic terminal.

usually one needs a domestic flight on top of the hkg to manila route to reach their destination.
