When my baby is 6 months, I wil switch from breastfeeding to formula. Although it is personal, I would like to know what formula you are using and any particular reason why you are using this particular brand?

Also, whatever you are using, it is for sale in Hong Kong?

Thanks for your comment.

Hi,

I breastfed my baby exclusively. Then I decided to use Enfa-pro (or Grow, name changes depending on age of baby). My friend recommended it and I thought it was fine as it's EASY to buy anywhere. I didn't want to choose some obscure fancy brand that would be difficult to find. It's cheapest to buy in the local chemists.

since i restarted work, my baby is on formula during the day after he finishes with the stored breastmilk. i have been using NAN 1 HA/NAN PRO. make sure you check the "made in..." label - you dont want to buy the "made in china" ones. you can buy them in mannings/watsons/local chemists.

I use Bellamy`s Organic formula, simply because it`s organic and in a regular sized can, and not that expensive. When I`m on the go I use Meiji`s hohoemi cube packs.

I also changed from breastfeeding to formula when my baby was 6 months old. We use HiPP organic, simply because it is organic and a lot of my friends recommend it. I buy from Mother Organic in Central (www.mother-organic.com)

Hi, I am considering either Enfapro A+ or Friso Gold.

What is your feedback on these two?

By the way, I saw that HIPP formula is being sold at a big discount (half price) at Bumps to Babes as they will expire soon. FYI

hi - for those using the organic brands (hipp, holle), i just noticed they aren't fortified with dha and ara. are you supplementing your babies then? i am using holle as i found out in 360 they are selling them for $110 for 900g!! that's cheaper than say enfamil!!

Meiji made in japan is great....they say is closest to breast milk and it works well with my bab's digestive system.....(ie he has poo poo). You can order it online and delivery is fast and is not too expensive.

Hi,

When my daughter turned 12-months, technically they can drink cow's milk. But I found that it made her poo a lot, or have a slightly softer stool. So I thought that perhaps she's a bit lactose intolerant. I was also worried that she wasn't eating solids properly. So we gave her half and half - fresh milk during the day, and at night time, formula - so she wouldn't be pooing in the middle of the night. Also, formula is fortified with vitamins etc...

My daughter is now just over 18 months and we still maintain the same system just out of habit, but I think she can manage fresh milk all day.

However, formula is also more convenient to take out somewhere...

Akky, do you have a website for ordering the Meiji? Thanks.

Also try www.babycentral.com.hk - they stock Bellamy's, Holle and will soon have Aptamil and Cow & Gate from the UK, and Nestle Nan. They have same day delivery too so great for emergencies.
