Anyone know where I can buy a Roomba? That is those little robot vacuum cleaners that are popular in the USA. They are made in China, and the distributor is here in HK, but I will be darned if I can find anyone who sells them here. I called the company irobot, but they were not very clear on whether or not they actually sell them in HK.

Haven't see Roomba sold here. Are you sure you want a Roomba? I have two Roombas but brought them over from the US. Problem is that the battery dies after 6-9 months and you have to order one from overseas for about $600 each time. Other than that, they work great but for my next auto vacuum I am going to try a local Chinese one.

I would also like to buy a roomba but unfortunately they don't seem to sell them in HK and it wasn't recommended to buy them from US because the warranty doesn't extend internationally. I think its a dead end....

I ended up buying one in the USA when I was home over Chinese New Year. So far its great. Though I have heard that you have to replace the batteries about once a year. For me that's not a problem since I generally go home once a year. I'd be interested in hearing if there is a local Chinese variety to choose from.
