How to STOP FLOOR NOISE going down

Hi all, need your advise. Kids run on the floor and understandably bottom floor complains. I bought plastic tiles and on top put plastic sheet. it can stop some noise but not really enough and also the plastic and tiles move and break every few months.

So any suggestion? any thing to put on existing floor without breaking the floor? Carpet don't work because of child asthma problems. Please share if you know any solution or any shop that sell some materials like this. Thanks a lot!

Rugs are easiest. For the asthma issues try rugs made of alternative materials. For example grasses like sisal. It looks like woven dried grass and doesn't collect dust like "ordinary" rugs. IKEA sells them.

What sort of shoes do the kids wear? Maybe try softer soles, maybe let them play just in their sox in winter, barefoot in summer?

Thanks for your suggestions. kids actually don't wear shoes at home. sometimes when they play, they will jump or run and i know it is bad because i can hear the noise of people walking at the upper floor. may be it is because the floor of this building is too thin or bad quality.

The best way is to build a subfloor with a sound insulation, anti-shock layer between the floor and the cement underneath. Think of a floor on shocks. On top of that put area rugs or those rubber interconnecting floor mats. But since you do not want to go all the way, the above suggestions are pretty good.
