Is it possibleto set up a company for the purpose obtaining a HK visa? wat are the costs? anyone done that successfully?

Yes it is possible. But one man bank is not going to work.

To enhance the chance, you may need to employ local (with HKID) employee.


Company address (a real office not residential address) would be better. Of cause, you may need to have real transactions, bussiness. You may also need to give the bussiness plan, future development to the immigration dept. I have done this before for some one.


the cost for a company gistry (that means to get a BR) is just a few thousands.

while the cost for renting office, office equipments, local employee, fax line, telephone line, internet, electricity etc varies.


one thing to be aware is that after you have register the company in company registry, you are liable to pay tax in 18 months. proper accounting report is needed with all receipts and invoice to be recoreded clearly.


there are many people done this and get a visa successfully in HK.
