shen zhen hk border (lo hu)

i will arrive in shen zhen on the 28th after 10pm. usually the lo hu border is closed by 10. i was wondering if it will be open longer during the holidays? i have heard of a 24hr border but i don't know how to find it. and if i did would the kcr still be running when i cross? what about ferry options? will the ferries be running from shen zhen to central or kowloon TST after 10pm?

Lowu is normally open until midnight. There are no longer opening times during the holidays as it is not a holiday in China and only Christmas day is a holiday in HK. The 24 hour border is the Huanggang / Lok Ma Chau vehicle crossing from which you'd use a coach. There is also the Futian Ko An / Lok Ma Chau train station but that closes before 11.


Ferries also finish early. So depending on what time you arrive and get through immigration it seems your best bet is to either get a coach to HK from the airport (which I assume you are arriving at) or taxi to Huanggang and grab a coach from there.
