Where can I donate several old computers, keyboards and masses of computer add-on stuff? I believe it's all worth very little, if anything, but it seems wrong for them to end up in landfill when someone might be able to make some use of the bits and pieces.

In another country, you could send them to recycling, but I don't believe that's possible in HK. You could go to Sham Shui Po Golden Arcade. Some of the shops there take old stuff.

Put them in the "free stuff" category in the classifieds of this website. If you specifically want them to go to a worthy cause, then ask the respondents to tell you why the need it. Beware of bullshitters and con-artists.

From experience, old computer components are hard to move even in free stuff on this web site.

Many thanks for the suggestions and advice. There's a whole lot more besides computers, e.g. keyboards, mouses, printers, even a TV wall mounting platform, the type on an extending arm. Maybe if I put everything in boxes and offer it all free to one of the second-hand sellers around Ap liu Street, Sham Shui Po, a lot of it might get recycled.

You can recycle them here:

Or give it to crossroads - they will donate around the world wherever there is need for those items.

Many thanks for all the advice, including that on the post concerning disposal of electrical goods. Very helpful and sufficient for me to follow up.
