Anybody ordered one yet?

I placed my order last night but Google doesn't say anywhere how long it will take.

Does anyone have any idea?


Also, for those who have it. What are your thoughts?

Personally, I'm going to see which carrier picks it up here and buy it from them on contract. I recall hearing that Vodafone won it somewhere else so maybe Smartone will get it here?

There is annoncemnt that Google will sell it alone and we can only get it through online ordering. No operator is going to sell it. Am I correct?

Whatever you do, you need to buy it from google.com.

On the website you choose whether you want the phone alone or with operator and plan. For the moment only T-Mobile in the US is proposed, but other international operators should be added in the near future.

if anyone bought it, may I ask the performance of the Nexus One. Is it faster than Iphone when get on the internet? Any defect of the functions?

My guess, without having seen any data, is that Internet speeds are way more dependent on the connection than on the phone. You have to really screw up the device for it not to take advantage of a WiFi connection at full speed, let alone 3G.

I just received mine.

You have to count a full week for shipping. (I did order on a friday night so guess I missed the week end.)

Well worth the wait.

The phone is awesome and recommend it to any iPhone use.


The phone is twice faster than an iPhone for general use, and must admit that browsing internet or google maps with wifi is as fast as on a normal desktop computer.
