Does anyone know of a park in the south side that people can go to, to escape central and have a little picnic there?

Thank you,

A few quieter spots on Southside:

- South Bay Beach. Take the bus to Repulse Bay, then walk 2.5km to the end of South Bay Road. You can also take a taxi. Shuttle 44R goes half way.

- Several BBQ and picnic spots in Tai Tam Country Park along Tai Tam Reservoir Road. Either enter next to Parkview and go downhill or from Tai Tam Road by the dam and go uphill (the first bit is flat). There are many lovely spots with splashing water, reservoir views etc. Perhaps the best one is about 1 km walk from Tai Tam Road along Tai Tam Reservoir Road, on the right before a bridge. It overlooks the Lower Reservoir has an actual real grass lawn! Great place for picnic and some frisbee or ball. Walking downhill from Parkview is easy even with a stroller and a good way to take in some nature.

- Turtle Cove Beach. Next to Redhill. I have not been myself but have heard it is lovely. Certainly looks nice from the catchwater trail above it.
