As a non-resident living in HK does the Aus court system have any juristiction over me in regards to "Family Law Property Matters" ?
I have been divorced for over two years now, we had a verbal agreement in regards to keeping/splitting our current property holdings. I have continued to pay the property mortgage and pay monthly maintenance for my two children since day one.
The ex has now had a change of heart and has decided to try and "fleece" me for my share through the Australian legal system. Does this threat carry any weight?
As mentioned, I am a non-resident and have assumed this status for the past eight years?
