Primary school in Tung Chung

Dear Members,

I am planning to move to Tung Chung soon. I wanted to find out good primary schools near by. I know Tung Chung comes under catchment area of Kowloon Junior School.


Would anyone know the time for the bus ride from Tung Chung to Kowloon Junior? I don't want to subject a 5yr old kid to a long bus ride and the consequent daily routine timings.


Any advice is immensely helpful.

to be honest, though, by the time you child can get a space in DBIS, they'll be ready for secondary school...

I think the bus ride is 45mins-1hr. I also considered it but it's really too long a journey in my opinon. Discovery college (private ESF in DB) is near but waiting list at last check was like 500 kids waiting per year or something ridiculous like that. I didn't even bother to put down my $800 application as it would be years before any spaces were available!

Thanks Mixeymum, I decided to get my kid admitted in the ESF school near to the place i am currently in and then try to see if I can get him transferred to any primary school in Tung Chung later. Cant take chances now.

Ozekid, the OP was asking about the commute from Tung Chung to Kowloon Junior School...the DB suggestion came later...l
