Hi I am looking at low cost hotels in Bangkok for a short stay in a few months.
Has anyone used www.agoda.com to book hotels and found them to be legitimate?
Any advice or experiences would be much appreciated!!

I use agoda.com many times and never had a problem. I have occasions where I have booked and paid for hotels but my plans have changed last minute and had to cancel. I have used their 24 hour chat system and had refunds on my credit card with no problem.

I doubt Ed was being objective... In the travel business, good luck with "best rates guaranteed online"
Personally, I have used Agoda.com a few times for trips to Cambodia, Vietnam and Singapore. No problems whatever. The rates were comparable or better than any other online sites; mind you that I do comparison shopping on at least 3-5 online sites before making my bookings. Besides, Agoda offers a points system for cash (albeit meagre) credits. Something to keep in mind. Happy travels.

Hey thanks all for the feedback. Great advice from everyone. I feel pretty safe to use them, and also have been checking the rates directly with hotel websites where I have found some great offers :)
