We don't want to travel during the chinese new year holidays and yet would like to spend a few days in a "new or unusual place". We live on HK island and would like to find a nice hotel in areas such as the new territories or the outlying islands so that we can explore the place, have some activities and enjoy some time away from the city.
We have been to Gold Coast Hotel before and would like to try something different.
Any recommendation? Thanks!

Ecareken, we stayed at the Royal Park last year and loved it. We had the opportunity to explore Shatin leisurely. We discovered great places and things to do and even made new friends.
Between Ma Lui Shui and Tin Shui Wai, which place do you think is more interesting to explore? We have 2 children, 10 & 4 years old. Thanks!
