I was offered a position in a boutique private bank here in Hong Kong and just signed the offer letter and background check forms.

I went to University in the new york and had a serious illness in my third year n cold intolerence was a symptom, so I had to stop school come back to Hong Kong cuz its warmer. I have the medical records to approve.

Recently a friend referred me to this private bank position and they are willing to offer me a position. I have been working in a similar position in shanghai for 3 years.

Now that I signed my offer letter, and suddenly compliance asked me to submit my degree certificates to apply for hk visa. Given that I do not have an undergraduate degree, will the immigration refuse my visa?

also for the bank, I didnt lie on my resume that i finish college, on my education it stated ' bachelor studies in economics ' instead of 'bachelor of econimics'.. should I explain this to HR? will they decline my offer?

Sry its a long post. Will really appreciate if someone can help!

[UPDATE] Please note that fee quotes stated in historic postings may be out-of-date.

There is no CONDITION that Immigration requires a degree for such work authorization in HK....by far more important is your work experience of three (3) years plus....the reality however is HOW your application package is prepared and presented to the Immigration Department....if you wish us to assist we have a broad experience in this area and would be able to add value...We would advise to continue with frank disclosure to your employer in all events...W&A
