Does anyone know the following:

If i am pregnant and the company goes bankrupt, what are the governing rules around it? Or will i be treated exactly the same as any other employee?

If the company is going bankrupt, you will be treated like any other employee.

Do you know that for a fact? I would have thought differently, that you should be owed more than the average colleague as you should be due your maternity. But then I really don't know anything about it....

i read a bit into the bankrupcy ordinance, but it doesnt mention pregnant women at all, hence it might be true that it's all the same...

As a legal question, I am very sure HK bankruptcy law makes no provision for pregnant employees.

As a practical question, it is possible the company, or the liquidator may offer a small token gesture in such cases.
