Best iPhone deal with Three??

The thing with 3 is that your phone will be locked to them. So just like a gym. If you buy from Apple the phone will be unlocked and you can use it with whoever. But yes with the 3 packages it may be cheaper in the long run.


I bought the phone from Apple. 3Gs prices are 6288 for the 32 gig and 5388 for the 16 gig.


PCCW gives unlimited data for 267/month (if memory serves). Can't remember the voice fee.

Actually no, the phone is not locked to 3 - a few companies tried to put out those scare stories a while back but they were not true. iPhones supplied by 3 are, and have always been, unlocked.

It seems you may have been offered a variation of these deals or some other data deals. Now you are able to purchase a handset for full price and then a separate data plan. The current unlimited data plan from 3 comes in at something like $210/month which they threw in to stop people going to smartone for $250/month. Remember this is not an iPhone plan, it is a separate data plan.


Take a bit of time on the 3 website to familiarise yourself with the plans and tariffs. As confusing as a rubiks cube if you don't really have any idea on tariffs and you are relying on a shop drone to explain to you.......!
