Blackberry Bold SMS problem

Not sure if anybody can help, but I recently got the Blackberry Bold and it appears to have a bug with the SMS.


I'll try to explain it...


1) When you get an sms from one person it lists it in the sms inbox as coming from that person (that part is all good)


2) If I reply it kind of starts listing them like an IM Chat, ie Person A: where are you Me: coming in 5 mins


3) However, and this is the bug, if I then get an sms from another person it will also list it in this chat as coming from person A. So instead of seeing:


Person A: where are you

Me: coming in 5 mins

Person B: did you meet A yet


I get:


Person A: where are you

Me: coming in 5 mins

Person A: did you meet A yet


If I try to reply to the second person it will reply back to the original message sender.


The only way I can get around it is if I delete the SMS threads in the SMS/Message inbox. I'm running 5.0.0.423, and apparently this is fixed by getting an update but when I have the Blackberry (or the Blackberry Desktop Manager) look for an update it says there isn't one.


Anybody know any way to fix this? I'm thinking I could downgrade and reinstall .423 but will I have to get all my apps again?

I tried the BBSAK fix a couple of times it never quite seems to remove the 423 cod, it just seems to freeze no matter how long I leave it.


As for the other method at the bottom about enabling memory clean, my options seem to have it permanently locked on memory clean enabled. There is a small lock sign over the option with enabled showing underneath (if that makes sense).


I think I might just have to take it into 1010 and see what they say

I ended up fixing it by downgrading to the previous version and then reinstalling .423 works great now.
