Struggling with hotel policy over children

ORIGINAL POST
Posted by kiwimmc 16 yrs ago
We have 2 kids - one a baby, but every hotel now seems to have a max 3 persons policy. I am not comfortable with putting my daughter (7 yrs old) into a room by herself, and to be truthful the hotels already cost so much that to get 2 rooms really starts to pricey. Anyone found a chain that isnt so strict on this 3 person max ... or what are others doing re this??

thanks

we stayed at the shangri la rasa ria, kk and they let us have an extra bed and a cot in the same room, so the 4 of us stayed together. our room was in the ocean wing. HTH

Usually kids under 3 don't count. Most hotels will add a cot and baby crib at minimal charge. Else book a suite instead of 2 rooms. Two adults, two kids (10 and 6) - I order a twin room with two double beds and all are comfy - done it in KK (Rasa Ria), Club Med, Cebu Sheraton, Bangkok Peninsula and many others.
