Do you ever have the feeling that most Hongkongers are over protective of themselves. You just say hello to them and they think you want to know them and get some sort of benefits. You ask them a few questions and they think you are after their gold! I'm tire of these ppl so I just act out like them....but lately someone told me I was stuck up.....but I'm just acting as a hongkonger. cheers to all the good and pure souls out there!!! haha

Culture clash. Certainly the nature of interpersonal relationships tends to be more important to HKers than to Westerners. There seems to be more purpose and definition to said relationships than is usual for Westerners. But that's just my rather uninformed impression.

I must say I have no idea what you're talking about. I find Hong Kongers very approachable.


I sense negativity in your post and I'm sure such negativity would be reflected into how "Hong Kongers" respond to you in turn.
