Turning 2 statues into table lights?

Has anyone had a complete table light made for them? I have two small stone statues that I would like to have made into a pair of side-table lights as soon as possible. So apart from looking for someone to source/make beautiful shades, they will need to buy, cut, bend and paint hollow steel or copper bars to support the shades and house the wiring. Ideally, they would do the full works, i.e. fit the wiring, switches, shade and make the wooden bases.

I've had shades made in a couple of places recommended in old posts but they turned out a bit crude. Prices were fairly cheap so I was expecting too much, but this time I want top quality work from expert craftsmen (every inch of the finished pieces must stand up to close scrutiny!) so I'd be happy to pay accordingly. Any advice or recommendations? Thanks!

Try Altfield Interiors in Prince's building. They have done a fabulous job for me turning an antique vase in to a table lamp a few years back.

Lace, many thanks for your suggestion. That was exactly the kind of place I had in mind and I was all excited about getting them made there but I've checked it out with them and unfortunately they've stopped that side of their business. :-(

So I'm still looking if anyone has any other suggestions. Thanks!

Soong Arts Lampshades, G/F 6 Square Street (off Hollywood Road) 2549-0615 will convert vases into lamps so should be able to do statues, they were highly recommended by one of our callers.
