Why don't you buy two separate units instead of an integrated DVD and TV. A DVD is only a few hundred nowadays.


A regular TV may pickup the channels. Do make sure it comes with an antenna, or buy one. Many people also put an extra NOW box in the helper's room. This will cost extra every month.

Another option is to buy a laptop with DVD player. A decent second hand one, even with a decent size screen, can be had for less than 5000. As an added advantage she could surf the web on your WiFi connection if you have one.
