Job location question (Central vs Shatin)

Would you accept a job with lower pay but in a nicer office building?

Let say with all things equal between two jobs, the first one's office is in the business district in HK and a top tier office buidling with view (ie IFC) but pay 20% less then the second job which is located in a crappy industrial area (ie Fotan). Which one will you choose? Will you give up a higher paying job just to work in a nice office? If so, where do you draw the line?

Note: travel distance to work is equal

Also, whats it like working in Fotan? is it that bad??

thanks!

For me it would depend on the length of the commute and the general feel/mood I'd have about the people in the office (assuming you've met some of them).

Yes, the people in the office can make you miserable! From what I've seen of Fo Tan compared to when I used to work there once a week 7-8 years ago, it's much improved, so if the commute was similar, I'd follow the money, as long as the colleagues seem OK.
