Car Navigation System

Hi. I've recently bought a car and been using it for my small business in Hong Kong. I admit that my sense of direction is poor and I'd need a good navigation system (otherwise I waste my time looking for places).

If you know any good model IN ENGLISH that you'd recommend, please let me know.

we bought Shinco E270 the only one in the market got English map in HK! HK$1890 they sell in Broadway.

If you have an iPhone Tom Tom makes a navigation app for it.


Note that some many GPS models have a hard time in HK due to all the hills. My Garmin can take 15 minutes to find the satellites.

I got an iNavi iGo V. 8 from Switzerland with the most recent HK maps. It's all in English with English Street names and a huge POI database, speedcams, 3D-Buildings and so on. I bought it in Switzerland and adapted it to HK maps. The GPS signal is very strong, even in Central or Wanchai. The devise has a huge 7" touchscreen and also operates as hands-free handphone unit via Bluetooth that transfers the caller to the car radio via FM! Quite ingenious. Also has capability to play MP3 songs on the car radio. As I plan to return to Switzerland, I could sell it to you for HKD 1500.-. Sorry no negotiation on the price as otherwise I rather take it back with me to Switzerland.
