Thinking of a few days break to KK. Any ideas about beaches, best area to stay in bars food outlets. Looking at the Grand Borneo Hotel (used to be Mercure Hotel) any ideas feedback about KK in general. Grateful for any tips what so ever

We've been a few times and to be honest there isn't much to do apart from the mountain beaches and your hotel.

We always stay in shangri la club suite and have a great time, very relaxing the only thing is there can be lots of kids hence the reason we get a suite so we can enjoy the peace on our terrace.
