Best Optician in Hong Kong? (Or Ophthalmologist)

Hi there,

My name is Andy and I'm currently a Kiwi living in Hong Kong.

Unfortunately I have some unique eye problems (namely Nstigmatism which causes difficulty to focus) which means that my eyesight is not particularly good and cannot be corrected fully (only helped) with glasses.

The reason I'm mentioning this is that I'm very interested in finding a good quality Optician and/or (Ophthalmologist) here in Hong Kong who might be able to offer me some quality opinions. I've noticed there are many here but I am wary of people who have enough training to prescribe for the basics (reading glasses and such) but not for some specialist problems like I've got.

Does anybody have any good recommendations? Who are the best and most skilled in Hong Kong in your experiences? Really appreciate the feedback.

try Sparkling Vision. They are a bit difficult to find but because they don't operate from a ground floor shop with extreme rents they can offer much better prices than most other places. Quality and service are impeccable, I'm using them for years for myself and all my family when they come over from Europe.

Lucia San - Melbourne Plaza, Central. 25251733

Charges for service so they will consult without having to sell glasses unlike most 'shopfront' opticians.

We used her as she is also a developmental opthomologist.

Possibly the most thorough (and long) checkup I've had in three continents.
