Moving to Hong-Kong - what may go in container?

Hi all

We are a South African family of four, have been living in Dubai for the past 3 years and will be moving to HK soon. When moving to Dubai, I got rid of a lot of groceries, and was wondering, as it is so expensive, whether I can send some non-perishables in the container to HK. Is this allowed? It breaks my heart to get rid of all the stuff like spices, cleaning things, flour, sauces, pasta and so on, just to buy it all again, at inflated prices.

TIA!

Personally I am not sure, but the shipping company should be able to advise you on this.

I've never had a problem in bringing herbs and spices - just pack it yourselves if necessary and mark it kitchen items.
