we are planning to move in Tungchung, and I got some questions, I hope I can get some answers from those who are living there, the agent I talked to today can't give me the proper answers. Question: Are there any local kindergarten there in Tungchung? one that teaches cantonese but with english lessons and some Mandarin at least 2 times a week? and also what are the secondary schools there besides the one sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen?

there is a kindergarten at caribbean coast called greenfield, a lot of local and expat kids go to it but i'm not sure whether they offer what you're looking for

We have been in Tung Chung for 8 years I have a nearly 3 year old and a 9 month old. We are xpats from NZ.
Schools (all government schools but still accept expat kids, all teach in Cantonese)
Not sure about the Mandarin but I send mine to a nursery as she could start from 2. We pull her out half day.
Government schools
Caribbean Coast has Yan Yan day nursery (my nearly 3 year old attends)
Coastal Skyline has Sun Island
Fu Tung shopping mall has 3 kindergartens called HKSKH (on the 3rd floor) Green Pastures (on the 2nd floor, I think this is still open) and PLK kindergarten is located on the ground floor.
All the above kindergartens are approved voucher schemed and if you have an ID card and apply by the end of May you get 50 percent (around this) off your tuition fee
International are Greenfield at Caribbean, DMK at Sea view and Sunshine house located over by Tung Chung Crescent.
Note: None of the international schools are under the voucher scheme.
Secondary schools there besides the one sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen?

In Yat Tung (which is around 7 to 10 minutes bus ride from Citygate - bus 35), there is "Tung Chung Catholic School". I think they are for Primary and Secondary students. I usually go there on Saturdays for a weekly Church. I live in Caribbean Coast by the way. You may want to check it out.
