Shenzhen to Singapore return is pretty cheap. You can google the airlines on the Shenzhen airport site and then check the fares as they change all the time. Just a hint - some airlines have a small fee which you pay and then can board the plane first, which makes the whole thing fine if there is a planeload of pushing people trying to get on without lining up.
You can pick up a copy of the fun Map of Shenzhen at a HK Dymocks bookstores (eg IFC, Central Building, Repulse Bay, Stanley etc.) so you have an idea of the layout of Shenzhen and the Shenzhen Bay checkpoint (very modern and easy - immigration for HK and China under one roof.) Easy to catch a bus from Kowloon Station straight to Shenzhen airport and return the same way. Lots of Singaporeans use the Shenzhen flights.

yes agree with maz27, fly by jetstar. it is a budget airline that offers flight from hongkong to singapore. a one way trip to singapore should cost you about SGD250 and lower if you book early
