If your television set is a new-ish model it might be worth you paying to have it checked and - hopefully - fixed, but in this 'disposable' age of relatively cheap TVs I'm afraid it could end up being more cost-effective (if not environmentally friendly) to just buy a new one. I really don't know what the standard current call-out and hourly plus parts) charge is. But if you do a search on this forum there should be several old posts giving details of someone who used to repair all sorts of electrical items, including TVs, whom I used some years ago. I don't know if his shop is still in business but in lieu of anyone else posting more up-to-date contacts, you could ring to find out...
