there is a suspected water leakage in the master bedroom. the dampness has induced the growth of fungus and insects. the entire back of wardrobe was inhabited by mold/fungus. the area was 2m*3m. there is also a noticeable of insects populations

in the bedroom. the wardrobe has now been disposed. however, i can see the water mark clearly on the wall and the wooden floor. also, the insects/pests popular do not seem to reduce with the removal.

since the place's hygiene condition is compromised, and the landlord refuses to do any improvement, can i request to break the lease early and have my security deposit back in full?

[UPDATE] Please note that fee quotes stated in historic postings may be out-of-date.

As always it starts with the written lease; what is said re water pipes and repairs?
