Hi, does anyone know a good site which will allow HK IP addresses to stream matches? There are a lot out there but I don't know which ones have good quality streaming. Would like to know before I pay for it.

Most of them are un-usable due to the high level of users.

I spent a lot of time looking for such a solution but eventually signed up to i-cable.

As always in life - if it cost nothing it's worth nothing.

I joined the my-private-network.co.uk solution as suggested here by another user for accessing BBC and ITV programmes. Works very well most of the time, and only had an apparent server problem with last night's matches. Seems that BBC and ITV must be adding servers all the time with the increasing fever. Fingers crossed hard for England's match tonight.

The my-private network costs only 5 pounds a month, and you can stop anytime. I will continue to watch the UK programs in future and 5 pounds is very cheap. System sets up a virtual private network direct to UK (and you can add USA too for 9 pounds a month).

Funny that anytime the match freezes due to whatever reason I immediately curse Cable TV and the weak local government for allowing this situation to exist. :)

I am locked into NOW before I found out that they lost the bidding for the World Cup and English Premier League. Piss me off. But I did not want to commit to 24 mths with iCable just for one month of World Cup. I've caught last night's games on one of the free streaming sites and there were many pauses. Luckily I picked a non-English speaking one and the pauses were not as much as some of the Eng speaking sites that I had also logged into.

UK's ITV and BBC are really struggling to supply the demand over the last 2 days it seems. Not sure if they are going to add more computing power or whatever to fix. Tonight the same... good job I wasn't planning to watch any, and will catch the ITV review in the morning which is an excellent program. Cuts out all the time-wasting football. :)

Hi thanks all, I managed to register onto my private network and now have a UK IP address. However I still can't seem to find where BBC offers live streaming. It seems to be only audio streaming. And for some reason ITV shows up a blank page for me everytime (maybe my computer). Any other reliable sites to suggest?

You are doing something wrong. Both BBC and ITV have live feeds:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport/ and

http://www.itv.com/Channels/ITV1/default.html for ITV1 usually.

Streaming improved a little on BBC last night. Fingers crossed they are adding more resources/whatever before England's next match. :)
