This is the sample of SCAM received. Thought I should generate it here for others to be warned !


My items being sold was for $300, but he offers $400


If that's not a BAIT...........

This is probably a stupid question... but how can someone scam you if they have your name and account number? It's not as if they have any of your passwords? There's nothing private about your name and bank account number, is there?

As I understand it, the bank details thing is a sort of gullibility test. They're testing you're the kind of guy who sends your bank details to a complete stranger. Harmless or not, it doesn't seem like a particularly good idea. ;)
