Hi

I will be on a student visa for 12 months starting in September. My question is will I be considered to be a Hong Kong resident for travel insurance purposes?

I am trying to figure out if I can obtain travel insurance when I am in HK so that I can do some weekend trips around Asia.

I would say yes. If you stay in a country more than six months out of a year (which you will) you are a resident for this purpose.

Agreed with Green-Catalonia. We have one with Zurich that covers the whole family (2 adults + 2 children) for about 3500.
