I am flying into shanghai this week and was wondering is it easiest to catch the Maglev train most of the way to my accommodation.
I will be staying around Huai Hai road (times square area) so wondering is there just one stop on the Maglev train, and from here, is it easy to get a taxi then to Huai Hai road?
I assume this is faster than getting a taxi all the way from the airport?
thanks

Problem with the train is you have to haul your bags to the train... haul them off again... find a taxi (the train stops nowhere near where any hotels)... haul your bags into a cab...
When I travel to shanghai I take a cab from the airport... it takes slightly longer door to door but its way less hassle...
That said its kinda cool to take the train once just to get a pic of the speedometer :)

the maglev is really quick. if your hotel is near a subway station, it will be fast and easy to take the maglev as it brings you to the city from the airport within 15 minutes whereas a bus will take you 45 minutes. from the maglev stop you can transfer to the subway.
