Rice and Wheat flour are available at super markets like ParknShop, Wellcome and Vango.

You will not have problem finding food items in Hong Kong.

You get practically everything in HK , even Alphonso mangoes. However, if you are moving here, would suggest getting a Pressure Cooker and chakla-belan from India. Can't find good ones here.

As lolopolo mentions, you will have no problem finding Indian food items in HK. There are large Indian, Pakistani, Nepali and Sri Lankan populations. Apart from the items commonly found in grocery stores, there are several Indian stores dotted around.

There is also the mother lode: Chung King and Mirador Mansions in TST. There you will find pretty much any Indian item you want in the stores, from spices to DVDs. Entering Chung King Mansions especially feels a bit like passing through a wormhole to India. My personal favorite is Shiva on the first floor of Mirador Mansion. The place is much more tidy than the Chung King equivalents.

I can't really compare prices with anywhere else but certainly I have always remarked on how "Indian" spices and foodstuffs are quite cheap if you go to the specialized stores.

Agree with axptguy, Chung King Mansions, and another one on Bowrington Rd, Wan Chai, closer to Causeway Bay. Fresh made paneer flown in daily. All the spices and herbs.

Prices are good in comparison to buying in Park N Shop and gourmet stores !
