i realized this is probably not a suitable post under this category but i couldnt find another more suitable one. i've heard that many martial arts shifus have started their schools in hongkong, a few obvious ones will be ip man and bruce lee. i wonder what kind of martial art will i be able to find in hk?

I'm no expert but Kung Fu, Karate and Tae Kwon Do seem to be the most common.

There seems to be a few MMA schools (Western / UFC style) popping up in Hong Kong, which emphasise a lot on Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
I go to a place in Sheung Wan called Versus Performance that covers that and various Chinese martial arts like Wing Chun and Chi Kung. Prices are reasonable (that's why I'm there!)

I don't know the original location, but Ip Man's school / association still exists and, if nothing changed in the last few years, his sons Ip Chun and Ip Ching are still teaching there.
