I am looking for a solution to our shoe storage problem. My husband loves his shoes and has twice as many as I do. Our walk-doesn't have suitable space for shoes so I was thinking of getting a wooden shoe cupboard. Does anyone know where I can find something like this or where I could get one made?
It would have to hold about 30 pairs.
He has a big birthday this year so I am happy to spend a decent amount of money to get something fabulous.
Any ideas from you shoeaholics out there??

Always nice to hear that there are men out there who love their shoes. Why don't you get a carpenter to do a built-in shoe cabinet. Many contractors do this sort of thing. You really don't need that much room. You just need some space on a wall and get then to put shelves and then attach the doors, Otherwise, for 30 pairs of shoes you can get nice shoe cabinets ready-made. Even places like Price-rite have some which are not very expensive.

As Shoe Girl says, get one custom made. Try Raymond 91973809. Make a drawing and/or find a picture of something you like in a catalog, magazine or online.

BEfore you have anything made, take a look at www.shinway.com. Tis in Chinese but you can navigate around sighting the pictures. At least you know the options. All their shoe cabinets have round ventilation holes (excellent idea esp during high humidify days). Great storage ideas in their interior layout.
Once you enter the page, click onto the Right side which states Household Furniture. Then, select Living Room (altho it is in Chinese, tis the 2nd Blue Item on top).
