Can anybody tell me if it is possible to row, as in on a proper team/group/club, here in Hong Kong? I rowed a bit back in University and thought it might motivate me back into shape. (Nothing too competitive)
Thanks! :)

Try the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. I have seen rowing boats at their facility on Middle Island.

I think you will find that it is all based around the Shatin area as that is where the Rowing races are. A couple of instructors at Pure at IFC used to row in HK crews. If you go there I am sure they will tell you which rowing clubs there are around.

Why not consider joining the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC) to pursue your interest in rowing? RHKYC, established in 1849, is one of the oldest rowing and sailing clubs in Hong Kong. We are proud of our rich, colourful history, which stretches back over 160 years of social and competitive rowing and sailing.
The RHKYC Rowing Section forms a very strong and active part of the Club, and our members row both at the Club’s Middle Island site and at Shatin. The Club owns an up-to-date fleet of rowing boats, as well as many older models. There is regular training at Middle Island. Traditionally very competitive, Club teams take part in regular regattas at Shatin, along the Shing Mun River, where they race against local universities and other rowing clubs. Like the sailors, rowing crews regularly travel overseas to take part in events around the world.
Taking a prominent role in introducing rowing and sailing to the Hong Kong public, the Club runs a comprehensive range of courses for members and non-members catering for all ages.

I will look into places around Shatin area. I am sure that RHKYC is great, but i'm not sure i can afford the membership. Again, will have to look into it, but thanks for the information. Next time i walk by Pure i'll ask.
So is there anywhere else HK side that people go to row?
