Cheap rooms to stay for 12 days in TST/Kowloon

I need to move out of my student hall on the 13th August and my flight back to the UK is on the 25th August. Does anyone know anywhere offering really cheap rooms, which is NOT in chungking mansions? Mirador is ok I suppose. And Does anyone know any hotels/places who would let my boyfriend stay over with me in a single room for a little extra charge?

I know someone staying at the YWCA @under $450/night with private bath. If without, cheaper.


There are plenty of guest houses everywhere some spartan, some rather nice in Kln, patroned by PRC shoppers.


I have seen them around everywhere but never really needed to make notes. If you have a Chinese friend who can pullout a Chinese newspaper, that could help.

However, when I say cheap, I mean chungking mansions cheap, just not chungking mansions. For 12 days, Im looking to spend about HK$120/night maximum.


And the problem with renting places is that nobody is willing to have a tenant for less than a few months, let alone under a month.
