It's summer weather. Heat + high humidity = haze.

When it rained yesterday I had left a couple of off-white seat cushions on the outside chairs. When I went to grab them last night they were soaking wet (hardly surprising) but also black from the grime that had come down with the rain. Ugh!! and we breath that day in day out!

God job I smoke, at least that way the "air" is filtered! LOL

Yes, you are absolutely correct madtown. You have a point spurtio I may have to take up smoking as its filtered it may well be cleaner than the air we breath on a daily basis..

grime on the white cushions? wow i knew hk air was that bad, but not that bad!

I remember riding on the back of a pickup truck in thailand once, and got off the pickup after several hours with a layer of grime on my face. but the air there is hardly polluted (at least till i got into the city)

imagine the effects of the grime on your lungs.

The heat is another possible explanation for this HK fatigue, if it exists. Not saying the pollution isn't responsible. Just that it is a bit hard to know without quite some study.

Also in Tokyo tons of people are sleeping on the subway on the way to and from work.
