Does anyone know where in HK I can purchase baking beans to cook quiche/flan pastry blind, at a reasonable price?

what do you mean by baking beans to cook quiche? as in beans to hold the pastry down when baking the pastry?

Have you tried your local wet market? Chinese cuisine uses mostly green beans (mung beans) or red beans (azuki beans), but you may be able to find some other kinds of dried beans. Would any of these be appropriate for blind baking?

Any wet market, where you can buy the beans from a big sack, and mix and match and then have them weigh it and pay ....very easy

I used rice instead of baking beans - saw a celebrity chef do the same on tv.

I asked for it at that Twins Bakeware shop at 137 Johnston rd(1st flr). They don't have it. I got my ceramic baking beans from USA afterwards. Couldn't find it in HK.
