School Administrator accounts for mac

Son has received new MBPro (for his birthday) and as upgrade for his ancient MB, which has used for school. School starts shortly and he is adamant he doesn't want to hand in his MBPro to the school so that it can have all their software etc loaded as he will no longer be able to access due to the school installing their own administrator account. Didn't realise they did this - can they? Is there any way around this - eg - the school can have access but son has overall control. Think it a bit strange school can 'take over' the computer in this way...

A lot of organizations require this kind of control if you will access their network due to security concerns. There are several ways of doing this. Both the school and your son could have administrator access for example.


Why don't you call the school and ask?
