Hi
We're pretty new to Hong Kong (c.6 months), and it's our wedding anniversary coming up next month.
I'm looking for accessible suggestions of places to have a Friday evening (maybe afternoon) to Sunday evening (or maybe Monday morning) weekend away for the anniversary – we're dying to explore the region, just haven't got enough time spare at the moment to take time off work. We also have a 16 month old son who it would be lovely to take with us, but would also be lovely to leave with our helper for a bit of respite for one weekend, so suggestions with/without toddler would be welcomed.
I had wondered about Guilin area, but wouldn't know how to go about getting there, or how to get around there once there.
Any suggestions welcomed.

Shangri-La Rasa Ria in Kota Kinabalu is just lovely. 3 hour flight.

Yes Laguna is beautiful, nice slow pace, lovely beach, transport around the resort, so weather doesn't matter that much if you get a shower.
