Well, mine is a fight between Inception and Salt. I thought Inception was exceptional. It reminded me a bit of Matrix and also I thought it was a better choice than any of those 3D movies. It needed a bit of concentration to follow as there were a few times in the movie I was asking, "Hey, whose dream am I in now?" Salt is in my list too because I was happily surprised by it. It's good to see a female action star for a change. I guess Inception wins for its innovation and imagination. So, what's yours?

i was thinking to open a thread for movie lovers and what do you know?!
inception - awesome movie with top actors and wicked visualisation BUT i got annoyed at the ending because it keeps you hanging. anyway, i opted to pick the happy ending for cobb! :) i'd like to give it a 4 stars out of 5.
salt - great storyline BUT it seems funny to see a very thin bony person packing all those punches and killing all the guys triple her size! bit unrealistic but hey, it's a movie so anything can happen. i'd like to give it a 3 stars out of 5.
step up 3 - this movie rocks! very very entertaining. i didn't want it to end and tapped my feet while watching them dance. i even hooted during the movie *oops*. i wasn't alone as another guy was hooting too. hehehehe i'd like to give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
next movie for me to check out is "letters to juliet".

I was thinking of step up 3 but decided not to go because it was a 3D. I get dizzy and cross eyed watching 3D but I guess I'll go for it without wearing the specs since it comes with such good recommendation.
I just watched Alice in Wonderland (I know it is an "older" movie but it was showing at my club house). I thought it was a kid's movie but I was rather good and entertaining - who can resist Johnny Depp? Costumes were colorful and innovative and the characters were rather comical. A 4 out of 5 - since we are rating.

3d gives me headache too but i was ok for step up 3. you don't know who to look at when they're dancing in a group tho.
do you all know that you can keep the 3d gogs for free and use it for other 3d movies? after mid-sep, they will charge you to use 3d gogs so go and grab it while they are going out for free. till mid-sep, they are giving out free small popcorn and a $10 cash coupon when you bring your own 3d gogs. only some cinemas are doing this promotion like ifc palace, amc pacific place and some other cinemas. you can check out the broadway website.
the other movie i would like to recommend is "dear john". not only coz channing tatum is HOT but he has given a great performance. rating: 4 out of 5.
