I've got some friends who live at The Merton in Kennedy Town - a new building and they have found a few western bars/restaurants in the area. Also Wellcome and PnS supermarkets close by too.

it is a nice area with a mix of expats and locals. there are cheap asian restos as well as decent western restos. many expats choose to love in Merton, Manhattan Heights and Belchers.

there are enough buses going towards kowloon and hk island. you can take the minibuses if you're brave enough to deal with their speeds.

there are a good no. of local supermarkets with few branches of wellcome and park n'shops spreaded around the area.

if you've kids then there are plenty of play-areas to choose from and the evening walk by the seaside is very refreshing apart from the smell of the oil and dogs/dog-poops!

if you would like to know more, shoot us a pm. :)
