RE Motorcycle Import to HK

Hi guys,


I got a few questions regarding importation of a Motorbike to HK, so bare with me.


Here's my situation, I've just recently gotten my Motorcycle License from the TD (I've been riding legally/illegally for 3-4 years, Not in HK though) & I am dying to get my hands on a motorbike, unfortunately I have extreme hatred towards all these new pocket rockets (Ducati, Honda, etc.)


Anyways, after a bit of searching I found a few people in India selling their Royal Enfields (350's & 500's) which are being valued at around 25K for a 350CC (Classic) to about 40K for a 500CC (Classic) (keep in mind that's in Indian rupees) and I've also made sure that they are all well older than 20 years (Something I read on the TD's Website for exemption of emissions?!?). I'll be going over in late October to buy and pick up the bike(s).


Now my questions are:

1) I have had no experience importing any vehicle to Hk, Do you think I would be able to do it with relative ease?


2) What modifications, if any do you reckon I would need to preform?


3)Lets say, I get the 350CC (Most likely) for 25K (Just over $4200 HKD) would the Govt. Tax purchase price? or list price? (The 350CC Classic is now a discontinued model )


4) Is there any company/organisation in HK that actually specialises in importation of motorcycles?

My guess is that if the bike came from a right-hand drive country you might need to modify the headlight(s) so that they shine in the correct direction.
