I've been using www.boom.com for about 6 years now and have had friends on it even longer. Haven't had any problems with them really.
If you're a more active trader you might want to try Interactive Brokers. Their charging structure is different. Since I'm more a buy and hold guy I prefer Boom.

I would like to trade (just buy and sell in one day) singapore, indonesian, malaysian and other asian countries stocks but need to find an informative website for market news, things that highlight that days gainers and reasons why(mergers, ipo's etc. for that day) for these countries. Anyone know a good website for these specific countries?

Hi Peter25,
I'm afraid I haven't used any of the companies you list for buying or selling stocks.
Banks are more expensive than brokers.
Investor protection levels are fairly low in HK so you may want to see if the brokerages trade their own accounts. (Boom doesn't. They only perform customers' transactions so there no chance of them running into trouble because of some wrong bets by their traders).
Chennessy1, you seriously want to day trade other countries stocks when you're not even in that country? Wouldn't recommend it. In fact I don't recommend day trading at all. But it's a free country. Don't know of any websites that have that type of information.
