that's a tight budget for an apartment though you can find 2 rooms somewhere around tsing yi, park island, olympic for that.


english teacher = 20k? just a guess

Plenty of jobs for English teachers here ,but they will try to offer you a very low salary...maybe apply for the NET scheme if you have an English major? and the negotiating skills of a lawyer...

flats ? maybe have a loook around the areas away from maritime square for cheaper Tsing Yi flats...

The NET scheme is better pay as there is a housing allowance of 15k on top of your wage. Unfortunately there are not so many jobs that start in Feb. You may be lucky and get one if one of the NETS goes home for Christmas then can't bear to come back. It happens. As for flats they are expensive here. You can try the web page gohome.com.hk that has a good spread of look at this site flats.
